The gap is not a matter of opinion
Most comparison pages argue about taste. This one does not have to. Backloggd is a website. There is no official iOS or Android app, and as of September 2026 native apps are still sitting on Backloggd's own public roadmap as something planned rather than shipped.
Anything you find in an app store under that name is an unofficial third-party client. That may be fine for you — plenty of people are happy with a bookmark — but a mobile-first backlog habit is hard to build on a browser tab you have to remember to open.
Same database, different shape
Both trackers search IGDB, so you are working from the same catalogue and the same cover art. The difference is where the entry ends up.
In Backloggd it joins a games profile. In Stadu it joins a timeline that also holds the film you watched that weekend and the trip you took that summer — and it is a Goal until you finish it, at which point it moves onto your Lifeline in the year you actually played it. Your backlog and your played history are the same list with a status, not two separate pages.
