Wrapped, for everything you did this year

Late November, half the internet posts a recap. Your music app knows what you played. Your streaming service knows what you streamed. Letterboxd knows your films and Goodreads your books, if you remembered to log them there. Not one of them knows about the gig in a basement, the week in Portugal, or that you did all of it in the same month.

In Stadu all of it went into the same app, so the recap covers the whole year. Open the Stats tab, tap a year, and you get:

• How many experiences you logged, split into films, TV, books, games, concerts and places.
• Your best-rated entries, and the first and last thing you logged that year.
• The travel side: trips, countries and kilometres for that year.

A Highlights card to share

One tap on share turns the year into a card. The Highlights card reads “My 2026”, with your counts, the year's longest trip as a tile (one of your photos or a sketch of the route) and your best-rated entries as posters.

For stories there is a 9:16 version that puts the highlights and your travel numbers into one image, the format Instagram and WhatsApp stories expect. Highlights and travel are also available as separate cards.

The Year Reel: your year, flown across the globe

The Year Reel plays one year as a flight across a 3D globe, moment by moment in date order. At each stop your own trip photos land as big polaroids, one after another, before the flight moves on. An arrival card shows what it was, where, and when. Films and books you finished at home, with no place attached, ride along under “Also” on the nearest stop instead of sending the camera home every time.

It ends on a finale card with the totals: “My 2026 · experiences · trips · countries · km”.

To be precise: the Year Reel plays inside the app. Stadu does not export a video file. If you want a clip, screen-record it while it plays. More on the travel half on the travel wrapped page.

Every year, not just this one

A platform recap covers the years you happened to use that platform, and it arrives once, in December. In Stadu the year chips run from All to every year you have entries for, and each one has its own recap, permanently. That includes the years you backfilled: add a few memorable trips and films from 2018, and 2018 has a review.

That turns the recap from an annual event into a way of reading your own history, which is why the app is built around a Lifeline rather than a diary.

Share the card, not your data

What leaves your phone is an image you chose to send. Not an account, not a profile, not a public page with your viewing history on it. Stadu has no account at all, no feed to post to and no follower count. Everything you log stays on the device.
