The problem with one tracker per hobby

Single-purpose trackers are good at their one thing. That is also the problem: your life does not come in one category. The film you saw, the book you finished on the train, the festival you went to and the weekend you spent in Lisbon all happened in the same week — and they end up in four different apps that will never know about each other.

So you get four logins, four privacy policies, four export formats, and no single place that can answer “what was 2019 actually like?”

Stadu is built for the answer, not the category. Everything you log — a film, a book, a gig, a city, a job change, a trip — lands on one chronological Lifeline, in the right year, with your age next to it.

What you can log

• Movies and TV — searched against TMDB, with posters, year and director filled in for you.
• Books — via Open Library, covers and authors included.
• Games — backed by IGDB, plus a one-tap import of your entire Steam library.
• Concerts — artist, venue and city, with setlist.fm behind the search and a Last.fm import for the gigs you already scrobbled.
• Places — anywhere on the map, pinned where it happened.
• Trips — multi-stop journeys with a route map, a transport mode per leg and photos.
• Life events — the things no API knows about: moving city, a new job, a wedding, a loss.

Anything that fits none of those gets a custom entry. The point is that nothing has to be left out because there was no category for it.

Done and want-to-do, in the same place

Most trackers split “watched” from “watchlist” into separate universes. Stadu treats them as one thing with a status: a Goal is something you want to do, and the moment you mark it done it moves onto your Lifeline in the year it actually happened.

That makes a bucket list something you finish rather than something you accumulate — and it means your timeline fills itself as a side effect of crossing things off.

Typing a title is the whole workflow

Logging has to be faster than not logging, or it does not happen. In Stadu you type a title and pick the right result — covers, credits, year, artist, venue and developer fill themselves from more than ten sources.

And if you are coming from somewhere else you do not start from zero: import your Steam library, your Discogs collection or your Last.fm concert history in one tap.

Offline, no account, yours

Nearly every app this replaces wants an account. Stadu does not have one, because it does not have a server. Everything you log lives on your phone. There is no sign-up, no email, no password, and no sync worth breaching.

Your whole Lifeline exports to a single backup file that you keep. If Stadu disappeared tomorrow, your data would not.
